Routine
I have lost track of the days of the week. Every day seems like the weekend. Trash day is the only important day of the week. I had to get a routine together for the sake of my sanity. I need to get up. I need to accomplish something, even if it’s just getting out of the bed. The kids still have assignments for school. My husband has to go to work. Clothes have to be washed. Meals have to be cooked. There are things to do. Establishing a daily routine has helped bring some normalcy to my house. I can’t move the same way I used to, but a routine has helped me and maybe you too!
Heed
As a child, I loved reading Aesop's Fables. I loved storytelling with lessons embedded within them. I always wanted to know, "what's the lesson?" Even in life, I find myself asking, "what's the lesson?" I've always believed that you were bound to repeat something if you didn't learn the lesson. For a season in my life, I dated the same person over and over again. They were different people, but the results were the same. They all had the same character flaw. I had to learn to pay attention. I had to take heed. I had to learn not to ignore the red flags. Is there something you need to take heed of? Is there someone you need to take heed to? Pay attention. Slow down. Don't ignore the signs. Take heed. Proceed with caution.
