Ain’t my fault

I’m big on accountability because I’ve seen what lack of accountability looks like in a person’s life. I’ve heard people make excuses for justifiable actions. It doesn't make it right. You can do wrong for the right reasons, but it doesn't make it any less wrong. People make excuses when they are trying to justify their wrongdoing. Hold yourself to a higher standard. Hold yourself accountable. Stop saying, “it ain’t your fault,” when it is or when you are a part of the problem. Be a part of the solution. Change begins with you.

When

If-not-now-when-3-1130x570.jpg

When I get older...when I get married...when I have kids...when I get more money...when I have more time...when I get a better job...when I get a new car...when things lighten up...when the kids are gone...when I lose this weight. Our lives are filled with when's that double as excuses. We create obstacles before we ever get started. We are our own biggest enemies. We hinder our own progress. When does this endless cycle change? Now! Change your perspective. Change your mind. Change your attitude. When? Today. Do better. Be better.

Destiny

"A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it."-Jean de La Fontaine

What are you avoiding? What have you been putting off? What do you know you are supposed to be doing, but haven't found the time to do yet? Is it starting that business? Is it that blog you were going to write? Do you want to go back to school? Is it that passport stamp? Is it that blind date you were supposed to go on? We are creatures of habit. We are procrastinators. We make excuses, and most times it is because of fear: Fear of the unknown. Fear of failure. Fear of success. Fear keeps up from our fate. Our fate is our destiny, and our destiny has a destination. It's up to you when you choose to arrive.
