Radiate Love
Energy is real. Some people refer to it as vibes, energy, or spirit. It is an intangible thing that you feel. It’s metaphysical. It's supernatural. It’s spiritual. Whether you recognize it or not, you are giving and receiving energy. When you’re in a bad mood, people can feel it. When you’re happy or in a good mood, it's contagious. Radiate love.
Capacity
When is enough, enough? When are you officially done? When do you decide you can’t take it anymore? Is it when you’ve run out of energy? Is it when you snap? Is it when your body responds? How do you know you are at capacity?
Most of us think that because we are capable, we have capacity. We have to reprogram ourselves. What does your “yes” cost you? Does it take away from your personal time? Does it take away from your family obligations? Is a “yes” necessary at this very moment? Can it wait? Can you delegate?
I am just beginning to realize that I don’t have to do everything. I’m learning that things will eventually get done, just not on my timeline. Those dishes can wait. The laundry will never be completely done. Your to do list never ends, and guess what? It’s ok. You are only one person and you can’t run on empty.
Zen
There are two places in my home that I automatically deem as my place of peace. These two rooms are my bedroom and bathroom. There are the two places where I can always hear and call on God. Zen despite its mystical connotations is your place of meditation, your place of peace. For some, it may be the basement or the kitchen. Make sure that you have some place in your home where you can seek and hear from God. Make sure that you have a place where you can be free and transparent with your creator. Make sure that you make time and space for zen in your life.
Dynamic
noun
1.
a force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process.
When was the last time you bucked the system? When was the last time you challenged authority? When was the last time you were a catalyst for change in your environment? Change begins with you. It can be as simple as a change of heart. Change your mind. Change your thinking. Change your perspective. Change your speech. Change your attitude. Be dynamic. Be a force to be reckoned with and force that can't be ignored.
Discern
It can be hard to read people. Especially, when people present their representative instead of their true selves. Trust your gut. Trust that feeling. Trust your first impression. Discernment doesn't rely on tangible evidence. It's a feeling. It's an unction. It's a personal truth. Some might call it a vibe. Feel their energy. Character is a consistent truth. Pay attention to subtle signals. See the whole picture, not just what is trying to be shown.
"The first point of wisdom is to discern that which is false; the second, to know that which is true."-Lactantius
Zest
"If things don't come easy, there is no premium on effort. There should be joy in the chase, zest in the pursuit."-Branch Rickey
I can admit that when things become challenging one of the first things to go is my joy. I get stressed. I worry. I'm easily irritated, and I snap easily. I'm learning that I need to turn my stress into zest. I can do something productive with that energy. I can work out. I can write. I can pray. I can clean. I can remind myself that this too will pass. I can ask myself what am I supposed to learn in this situation? What's the lesson? Refocus. Get a new perspective...No matter what you are facing remember...turn your stress into zest.
