Be Vocal

You have not because you ask not. Ask and it shall be given. Speak it until you see it. You've all heard these sayings. There is some truth to all of them. Creative power lies in speech. Negative speech creates negative environments. Even how you engage your plants affects how they grow. How you speak to your children determines alot about how they interact with the world around them. You have the power to be vocal. You can change your life by how you speak to yourself and your environment. You can affirm yourself. You can speak life or death. The choice is yours. Be vocal.

Well Done

OfS5j1535731937.jpg

Matthew 25:21 (KJV) His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

The ultimate goal is to hear God say, "Well done." In order to achieve this, I must recognize that my first title is servant. My life should be a life of service. Every other role in my life is secondary, yet still connected to the other areas I must serve. I am a servant of God. I called to serve my husband, my family, and my job. I am not an owner, but a steward. The aim is to be faithful over the areas of my life God has blessed me to serve. This requires a change of perspective and a great deal of humility. Have you accepted that even as a CEO, a wife, a husband, a supervisor, a manager, and an entrepreneur that your first calling is to serve? Do you recognize that ownership is not stewardship? Everything belongs to God...even you. Lastly, do you recognize the blessing of being called to be a servant? Remember, the goal is to hear God say, "well done my good and faithful servant."

Accept

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."- Reinhold Niebuhr

I've always loved the simplicity of the serenity prayer. I've struggled with accepting the things I cannot change. I've struggled with not being in control. I've struggled with my will versus God's will. Sometimes, what I've wanted has superseded what I needed and resulted in very difficult lessons. My prayer is that I accept that which I cannot control and that which I cannot change. I trust God. My peace comes from God. It is the peace of God that allows me to accept and rest in his promises. It is the peace of God that allows me to accept.
