Victor

I'm fresh off the Heart 2 Heart Women's Retreat, and one of the things that stuck with me the most was that, "we have to choose to be a victor instead of the victim." A lot of us have been through unspeakable things. We have endured hardships at the hands of family and loved ones, and we just grin and bear it. As women, we carry the world on our shoulders. We don't take the time to take of ourselves. We just keep it moving, to our own detriment. We have got to do better. How? We have to learn how to process our pain. For some of us, that might mean seeking professional help. For others, that might mean taking the time to acknowledge the pain, and releasing it. I encourage you all to make the first steps from being a victim to a victor. It will ultimately make you better instead of bitter.

Stress and depression both have physical affects on your body. Mental health is just as important as physical health. The journey to healthy living is tri-fold. What changes can you make to ensure that you are healthy?

Restoration

Complete restoration includes not only repair of the visible parts, but also the parts that are not visible to the naked eye. Some repairs are cosmetic while others or not. A full evaluation of the damage or deterioration needs to done in order to determine the process in which something is restored. Many of us have sustained damage. We have normal wear and tear. We have endured things that have deteriorated our confidence and our spirit. We need restoration. We need to evaluate our damage and determine the best process to begin our restoration. For some of us, it will be a spiritual journey or visiting a mental health professional. For others, it may be renewing that gym membership. Whatever path you need to take to experience restoration, make the first step today.

Joel 2:25(KJV) And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
