After you have eliminated the distractions in your life, you will need to focus. Focusing on a single goal increases the likelihood of you accomplishing it. There are a host of books that support this mode of thinking. The One Thing by Gary Keller discusses the benefits of prioritizing a single task versus multitasking. It illustrates how to focus on one small goal, and set realistic benchmarks in order to achieve extraordinary results. Our lives would probably be a lot simpler, if we focused on one thing. Try to simplify your current goal. Create daily benchmarks with that one goal in mind. Focus.

Do Not Disturb

Have you ever been in the middle of something important and someone disrupted you? It can totally throw your focus. It can be frustrating, and make you want to quit. Distractions have a way of taking a life of their own. They can hinder and halt your progress. Don't allow distractions to stop your current momentum. Wake up early. Stay up late. Plan accordingly. Do what ever it takes to find the time to focus on what you are trying to accomplish. Make others respect your time and space. Put up a sign that simply says, "do not disturb." You're not being rude. You're just making your time a priority.
